Bullying Prevention: Stop, Walk, Talk
Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and included at school. At Majestic Elementary, we teach students the STOP, WALK, TALK strategy to help them respond to unkind behavior and bullying. Students are encouraged to use a firm, confident voice and say “STOP.” If the behavior continues, WALK away and find a safe place or join another group. If it still continues, TALK to a trusted adult. We also encourage students to be UPSTANDERS by supporting classmates and standing together.
Bullying is more than a student being mean or having a disagreement. Bullying involves repeated, intentional behavior and an imbalance of power between students. While not every unkind interaction is bullying, all students deserve support when they are hurt, excluded, or treated disrespectfully. We encourage students to use STOP, WALK, TALK and to seek help from a trusted adult when needed. Together, we can make Majestic a safe, kind, and respectful place for everyone.
