School Community Council


At Majestic Elementary, our PTA and School Community Council have worked together to approve a plan that focuses on teacher professional development. We strongly believe that having well trained and highly qualified teachers in each classroom will benefit our students and increase student achievement.

Utah Land Trust funds will be used to pay for professional development opportunities locally and/or out of state. Opportunities for professional learning will be intentional and based on the goals found in our school improvement plan. The majority of the funding will go towards training and preparing teachers to understand and develop a stronger climate for academic achievement, classroom management for a safe and friendly learning environment, and engagement strategies to keep students on task and learning in order to make every minute matter. We believe that this will have an impact on each student in every classroom as teachers work toward creating an environment conducive to maximizing student achievement for all students. In addition, time will be provided for teachers to observe in classrooms throughout the school and other schools where effective teachers are using strategies and high quality instruction to meet the needs of all students.
